Weigh will be a big dissadvantage (height less so) but if the kart is "bogging" it will be a chassis set up issue more than clutch settings.

The soft setting is, overall, the best but as i recall they have standing starts at Teesside in which case you will be beaten off the line big time on this setting and you will have to try setting 2 or even 3. It will bang like mad for the first few yards but if you keep the momentum and engine speed up afterwards it will be fine.
