we run the dunlops at about 24 - 26 psi although we have played about with the pressures and found 18 worked well when it was hot (back in the summer )
try it and see it helps if your lad gives you a little feed back with how the kart feels go play and you will see what works best we will be at bayford on the 13 of this month
