I have exactly the same problem down the straight of WL. It didnt occur until I had around 35-40 hours on my engines that were tuned by RPM and its been the same ever since even after a rebuild. When we tested our engines for PSI compression, we were losing 30psi. Could this be something to do with it?

Between 1/2 & 3/4 down the straight everybody else just pulls away from me.

Im going to be testing new sprockets and drop a few teeth at the next race to see if this cures it.
