From what i undertsand one of the reasons for keeping the pack close is so that the drivers towards the back of the field are on / almost on the main staright when the race starts so as not to be disadvantaged. Is it therefore worth suggesting to the circuit that on the rolling lap we use the top cut from the hairpin so as to effectively lengthen the straight and eliminate this problem
