I am NOT an expert on Hondas (or anything else, for that matter!) but I think you have missed a 'concept' here!
It's not simply the compression!
The Honda has a clever device which, effectively, REDUCES the compression as you pull-start it! If that mechanism is NOT working, then you will find EXACTLY what you 'complained' about. In that case, even if your compression was PATHETIC (compared to a 'race' engine), then you'd STILL find it very hard to pull-start!
To put it another way, an engine with FABULOUS compression or a completely KN*CK*R*ED one will be hard to start IF that 'decompression' mechanism isn't properly adjusted!

Brain Pollard wrote this article for this web site:-

He also produced a SUPERB CD explaining the thing; look at the article listed above, you'll find a link to email Brian for a copy of that CD

On the 'English' bit; it's simpler than you have been told!
The first thing to get hold of is that sentences are simple; each 'new idea' or 'subject' gets a new sentence. You show that you have finished the old one by putting a 'full stop' ( . ) and show that you are starting a new one by putting a CAPITAL LETTER! Just doing that makes it much easier for us to understand each of the ideas you are trying to 'send' to us. If not, we cannot make sense of you ideas!
It's THAT easy!
