Ross,

For starters 71 sprockets will not work for you yet. You need to learn to drive the correct lines and carry way more speed through the apex of the corners to be getting the best out of 71 gearing.

Secondly seat position is more critical to the handling of the chassis than you will imagine. 7karts need to have the front lip cut to get to fit round the tank and be in its correct place. Your kart does not need this. I don't know the optimum position for an MS chassis but I know a man who does. Phone Howard at Lucas Racing.
