We use the MotoGPX leatt for our son, because the kart one hadnt been developed. We used a Driver/Runner helmet and now have a new Bell CMR helmet both are fine. There are two different plates for the back at slightly different angles (that you get in the box) we use the 17 degree one (not straight) and the smallest clips.
We are currently talking to supplier as we have converted to the Kart back piece, but the weight isnt quite as balanced and as comfy as the GPX set up yet.
Have you thought about the seat? Suppose it depends on position/size as well. You could always ask someone from Project One or Tillets (as they are based there) to make sure the seat is where it should be and it is the right size, if you arent sure. They cant advise on the neck brace, but I would consider the whole set up. PS Our youngester is like a stick insect- so if it was going to rub there is no meat to stop it.
