Measuring the diagonals only checks ONE of the directions that a kart can be twisted.

Effectivly, it can be twisted in three 'planes'.

1) Diagonally
2) Front 'corner' twisted 'upward'
3) 'Sagged' in the middle... (as though a Piano had fallen onto the middle of it)

No. 1 is checked with a tape measure as described
No. 2 is checked by the 'straight edge' across the king pins and lowering your eye line to check the 'straightness' against the rear axle
No. 3 is damned HARD to check without a decent, reliable flat-bed.... of getting it re-jigged.
