With the Mychron 4 i go into the on/off switch. You can clip it onto the spark plug lead but it gives a wavy reading.
You split the plug of the on off switch, and strip the wire back that comes from you mychron by about 2-3 cm rap it around the male part, and clip it back togeather. make sure its in the step down bit so the plug goes back rite.
