The problem is the radiator. Because the weather is not exactly warm, when you get on the track cold air is pushed into the radiator and makes the engine run even colder.

Simple solution, run one or two strips of duck tape on the radiator to cover part of it up, so that less can be cooled down and the engine will run warmer, constantly. when the weather is hot, take the tape off.

Alternatively, when doing the first couple of warm up laps, take your arm off the wheel and cover the radiator to block the air flow, that will heat it up without the need for tape. But tape is the widely used solution so i say try that first. I guarentee you will see a difference!

If you dont see a difference at all, it may be an air bubble in pipes. In which case, take out the small narrow clear pipe that runs along the top of the seat, and and tilt the radiator side of the kart up so it is higher than the engine. that will clear the air bubble and get the water into the engine.

the reason is that if there is an air bubble the water is not going into the engine, therefore the water sensor reads cold as the water is not going round the engine, and the engine is in fact overheating.

However i think it will be just a simple thing like the tape on the rad. try it and i think it will be different!!!
