right.... first make sure the battery is fully charged and preferably use a set of jump leads on a car battery or similar just to be sure the engine's turning over at the correct speed.

once this is done remove both plugs and put back into the plug caps. turn your garage light out (they can be this difficult to see) and see if you can see a spark when earthing to the engine block.

if theres no spark remove the two kill switch leads from the red coils (the two purple leads with spade connectors) and try again.

if you are on the old type HT coils...(these are the black ones which have the HT leads coming straight from them rather than the other black coils which go to red coils on the back of the engine) check the gap on the ignition rotor which should be 10thou and try decreasing the plug gap also to 10 thou (25thou standard)
