...Steve Welsh lost 7 (yes 7!!) engines in the year he raced World Formula.

We've all heard of examples of World Formula engines lasting for ages, but the percentage failure of World Formula engines is way in excess of the failure rates of Honda (almost none) or Rotax.

Everyone I know well on the World Formula grid from 2007 has had at least one engine failure.

Like I said - good idea, badly implemented.
