Dear fellow karters,
I read the following with horror, if I understand it correctly, the MSA are proposing to move the minimum weight for Minimax and mini X30 to 127 Kg.

This will mean a cadet that is on weight when he moves up will be overweight at day one with a standard chassis, meaning lightweight parts will need to be purchased from the outset.
It will also mean that a huge percentage of the existing grids will be forced to move up before otherwise necessary. I believe the mini classes are a vital step in the Motorsport ladder.
I believe this is WRONG for our sport and I ask you to act by emailing the MSA on the address in the proposal and also Jag or Mills to pressure te MSA to not follow this madness through.
In my opinion this would sound a death knell for the mini classes and this would be to the detriment of our beloved sport.
It would also mean a lot of kids would be too heavy for mini but too light or not old enough for juniors, leaving them in no mans land.
