I'm rebuilding a 1970's 100cc Upton Manx and need to change the main bearings. I raced in the late 70's and 80's, and used to rebuild my own engines. I remember all the ones I used had the mains pressed (or inserted by warming the crank cases) into the casing. This Manx seems to have the bearings as an interference fit on the crank. Does anyone know if that is how they should be? If so, are they removed by heating the bearings?
