Sort of related, what's the advantage of a 'sticky ring'.... ? Is it the reduction in friction that causes an increase in performance that they're looking to stamp out ? Or I think if the ring is stuck in over the exhaust port it would give the effect of opening the exhaust port earlier which in most cases is a benefit. So I assume the loss of friction/port timing change is better than the loss of compression.
