I was speaking just this week to someone in the top 10 at super 1 who has driven both. He says it is the "idiot proof tyres" on the x30 that make the difference and without them the rotax is far superior. But unfortunately it is almost impossible to run rotax as an independent because the teams have all the big engines and no matter how good the driver is, you have to run with a big team to do well just to get the engine.
But if you are the next on after x30 you do have to wait a long time while all the broken karts are picked up!
