Dot 5 and Dot 5.1 are, daft as it may seem ,completely different fluids. Dot 5 Silicone based , Dot 5.1 glycol based and just the latest version of Dot 4. Some people have reported problems developing using Dot 5.1 or Dot4 in an OTK system (Dot 5 only recommended).
