Thanks, Sebo. What you say had crossed my mind. However, if I run the tyre at race pressure in this condition I think it would push off the rim at the first corner. I think this because very little pressure is needed on the bead-breaker to remove the not-fully-seated tyres. Perhaps someone else has had this problem and has run them as you suggest? Many thanks.
