Nice to get some actual figures knighty. Do the clearances radial and axial vary with the bearing size? I've got this figure of 8thou end float from somewhere but it would relate to a 6204 C4 in a 100cc engine. The other scenario of course is that the crank assy . is sliding through the bearing inners as on a gx. and probably most used engines and possibly all cadet IAMEs for all I know.1mm does seem far too much but was probably a guesstimate rather than a measurement.
