The engines and all ancillary equipment are definitely equal

I bought 2 complete engines packages in December and ran them standard through January, February and March, always as quick as anyone else with out of the box equipment. Admittedly had other issues which prevented any real results.

No difference between the engines, carbs or exhausts, exactly what you want.

The biggest tell tale sign on the engine equality was competing in the X30 Euro Challenge in April, the French and Belgians have been doing this class for a number of years now so you would expect them to be well advanced in terms of the engine. Put it on pole in TQ and won the first final on the Sunday so it would appear that my engines were no worse than theirs.

Before going to the Euro Challenge the engines had got to 6 ish hours each from new so gave them to an engine builder for a top end build, cost of which for both engines including fiche was about the same as a rebuild for one rotax engine.

There is not one aspect about this class that is worse than rotax.

The tyre is far better.

At the minute the racing is clean and fair, just like it used to be.

Most importantly the kart is enjoyable to drive again. No way would I have invested in a kart with front brakes and learning the technique to compete in Euromax. With X30 I went for it without hesitation.

Yes the grids are small at the minute but this isn't helped by the amount of people sitting on the fence. I think there will be a sharp increase in grids next year. Junior Max drivers have a choice, spend between 2 & 5k on a senior motor which might be good, or go and buy an X30 and go racing

This class is here to stay and kartmasters, certainly in seniors, is going to be epic!
