SLK, we too race IAME. The problem for us is that if they sit on the grid too long ticking over the plugs will oil up, especially in the wet. That’s why we all sit there at the back of the kart with the string in our hands ready to pull it at the last second praying that it’ll start first time and it won’t snap in your hand!

To get a good start they’d need to sit with one foot on the throttle and the other on the brake taking their foot off the brake when the lights go out. The result being lots of burnt out clutches.

I do agree with your comments about the cane etc. though. Well said!
