can you imagine the arguments that leaving a gap will cause. people will exploit it further back...its hard enough to spot contact, its even harder to judge distances with 20+ karts.
Standing starts would solve it I guess. but at the expense of excitement. anyone ever pulled away in a rotax in a standing start after a spin etc...its quite a dull uninspiring experience.
I have found longer races do tend to make the start less crucial. but with all the different classes this cannot happen anymore.
If you ask everyone to put a new nose cone on thats a really nice idea. its a shame they cost so much and i feel while the top end can afford this, others could not. however this can be resolved with a big blue/red/green/yellow sticker that if marked you get excluded. this wouldn't look that nice though unfortunately
