.Just wondering what the heading was meant to be. If 'auto correct' produces 'Gearing to tax' when you have written 'Gearing for max' then it's time to bin it or turn it off. You could read through the post and correct , or, if posted,delete and do it properly. The answer to the question as posted is yes it makes a vast difference. It is only when the rear sprocket teeth numbers are altered to give the same ratio that the arguable marginal difference between for example 11-77 and 12 -84 comes into play . Pedantic but...
