Meaning the crank moves sideways easily in the bearings.This allows the engine to rev alot easier/freely.Once they have done a few miles/hours they should come free but have stripped engines that have done numerous hours and the bearings were a press fit in the bearings and this should not be as the bearing clearances are then tight within them as well.Simply the crank shaft diameter is too tight in the bearings
