Unfortunately, the move to digital was prompted by the manufacturer stopping the manufacture of the analogue ignitions. The MSA require the importer to support all the engines in the class and one cannot do that if one cannot supply the ignitions.

Another problem arose when it turned out that an engine builder was illegally altering the analogue power boxes.

But then you know this, because it has been explained before. You couldn't be playing 'politics', could you?
