Am thinking along the lines of breaking seal and replacing water pump seals on our as-yet unrun minimax kart. Believe the engine is not at all healthy and probably has other probs too? Would be interested to see condition of this engine so don't really want to pay an engine builder and may well be what I would regard as an uneconomical repair. Can anyone tell me any points I need to watch for when changing these? Have studied procedure and am at present wondering if crankcase-half really has to be heated to ease fitting of new seals? Any advice welcomed.
