Blimey Brian P - yours is one of the most miserable and negative sounding posts I've read on here.

I have no idea why you appear to be so anti OEKC and anti rotax - perhaps you'll tell us?

In response to your point about dilution of grids, I can't imagine this would be a problem. The OEKC really is just too different to compare to pro-karting. Besides, the 4-stroke guys just seem to be too died in the wool to ever change over to 2-stroke - 'this wasn't posted in the two stroke forum by accident...'

If anything I'd expect a northern OEKC series is more likely to appeal to ex-sprinters who have a max gathering dust in the garage and could, with a little preparation and a few mates, just turn up and race - no license required.

I live in the three sisters/hooton/GYG area and seeing how the grids have dimisihed in recent years, there must be loads of unused kit lying about.

Your point about promoting the series on here is unfair. I doubt this post has anything to do with the OEKC organisers - just an enthusiastic competitor gauging interest from the North (of which there apparently isn't much!). To be honest, I'd expect the last thing Rene would want is to be traipsing up to the grim North. I don't think there is any 'freeloading' going on here.

Lets be honest, this site needs the traffic anyway and this thread is one of only a handful a year that is genuinely new and not just about cheating in prokarts/the un-level playing field in prokarts and the ever rising costs of getting good engines in prokarts.

There might be loads of Rotax grids, but there is only ONE endurance grid where you can race anything other than a pro-kart and that is the OEKC. Some of us want to go quicker and have a more level playing field. Nothing wrong with that surely - choice is good!

'by saying 'Hi all' I guess I am ok to comment...' - what on earth did you mean. Is it meant to be funny?

For everyone else whose replied to this thread, glad you've enjoyed your OEKC experience. I love it, and wouldn't consider racing in any other series. It's great!

-just my opinion of course ;)
