This so called World Final is simply not the pinnacle of karting anymore except of course for the amount of money being spent.

The world has changed so much since the 1970/80's when CIK World Karting really had the best drivers from all over the world and a good driver could get in his van and go to the world finals.

The Rotax world finals are much closer to what the World Championship used to be and the current KF championship meets the needs of super rich people who think they can buy success.

The Italian engine manufacturers have followed the path to this money and their relevence in world karting has declined.
