I fear that encouraging libre classes is a big mistake. It achieves the opposite to the engine parity we all strive for in the classes we run (those of us without the money to buy performance, at least) and reverses the professionalism that has been legitimately developed by competitors under MSA control over the years. Those advocating it are normally the ones who think the engine they intend to run is faster than the competition...
