Dynamax - JAG Rotax do replace expanded clutch blocks under warranty when it is clear it was not due to operator error. I had an expanded block and cracked drum exchanged without any fuss recently.
In Laney's case, I think he accepts that it is not a warranty claim and the block could not be expected to survive high revs without expanding with no clutch drum on. Lucky that it did not snap the lobes and grenade.
