As it happens the latest lot of proposed regulations for consultation went on the MSA website today -

Most of the previous set of proposals had NO comments received. I managed to get the MSA to put the proposals on their website rather than wait for their magazine.

Helmets - Motorbike helmets may or may not be good enough to meet motorsport standards, for instance a Ł30 one probably not, a Ł500 probably yes but the market is too small for the manufacturer to bother getting the extra standard which has the double impact test, regular production line testing and a serial number which can be traced back to the mfr line. Even so kart helmets can be purchased for not much more than Ł100 and Ł150 for kids, not that expensive.
The ABkC constantly lobbies the MSA to consider reductions in the ARKS pack and the double fine for non production of licence and PG licence as well as on many other issues.
Will YOU be coming to the AGM on 11 December to put forward your ideas to help karting? Or lobbying your club to send a rep? Or asking who your club will be nominating for the 2013 Steering Group? It is a democracy but the same volunteers seem to be carrying out the duties from year to year.

As far as Kart Committee representation each club was asked for nominations, some were from drivers or drivers Dad's. Do you know who your rep is? Terry Bateman and I represent the Midlands clubs.

As to websites I would say UKK is a labour of love for your benefit, not Martin's especially.
