I think you misunderstood me, I did say accelerate normally and choke at the respective rev limit during each running in session, not to use max revs during running in.

I'm interested in your comment that the combustion process forces the ring outwards against the cylinder wall. Which forces are acting on the ring and how do they push the ring against the cylinger wall?
