1 common mistake when racing on a grippy track is not carrying enough speed into the corner and getting on the throttle too early and quickly (causing it to hop wildly).

when the rubber is down, the driver should find that there is alot more grip when turning in than before so they should take advantage of this and brake later, carry more speed into the corner and roll it round the bend before getting on the throttle (smoothly) near the exit of the bend. Since as the speed hasn't reduced much the engine should pick up again quite easily on exit and not bog down.

The pits bend at PF and Clay are good places to watch this technique being used. A driver who has nailed it will have the smoothest and most stable kart on the track whereas others will be kangerooing and tyre squealing all over the place.
