The last driver ( Senior Rotax ) I ran was exactly the same, he was fine at the start of a race/practice/day but as the race/practice/day/weekend progressed he became worse, raggy, missed braking points, drove totally different lines and some....and he was 21 years young !!!!

Once the grip goes down, holding the kart into/through the corners becomes harder and requires more strength, grip, etc....

Eventually you end up building/setting up a kart around the drivers weaknesses, not good....the kart drives the driver rather than the driver driving the kart.
