It seems as this works both ways unfortunately. I think that by having qualifying people will spend a lot of money to get to the front but at the same time it would put the quicker drivers at the front and the slower towards the back, which could potentially reduce crashing (although i believe that crashing occurs at the front anyway when people get caught up in the heat of the moment of the desperation to win). So by having qualifying, costs will likely be increased and not necessarily the better drivers will be at the front. This will only promote the people with the "biggest cheque book" to spend whereas the people without this luxury will not be able to show that they are actually good with the equipment that they are using. So to be honest, I hate to say but karting will always be an expensive sport. On another note Non-Msa seems to be the way forward but is everybody went non-msa then we would be back to the people with the money which is arguably where they shouldnt be. So, by having non-msa and msa some of the work has been done to seperate the people that are more wealthy than others.
