I had the exact same issue when running in my new rotax last week. It would run for a few corners / laps, die, and then the plug would either not fire, or would arc.

It turned out it was just the richness of the mixture fouling them up and a clean with a wire brush would bring them back to life.

The way we got through it was to keep the revs up (within the limits of running in the engine of course) as it only dies when really low down in the revs.
