Yes, the 0 plate results were astonishing. Mind you, there was something unusual about them, in that Duncan McLeod, a seeded driver, No 4 at the time I think, did not even make it past the B final and that is unusual enough to note.
Please, Unusual does not equal a complaint or a suggestion that the results were anything they should not be, it just isn't usual to have numbered drivers unable to get out of the back of the pack

Yes, on the day certainly, but that might have had something to do with tyre choice. Southerners with experience of Clay Pigeon thought the track would dry faster than it did and put slicks on, Scots who selected wets got enough of a lead to reduce the competition.
But, I don't know of any southerners sucking their teeth at the results of either. Annoyed at their own performances certainly, but that's racing.
