Dont take this the wrong way, you are saying you want to look at this yourself to give you the best possible engine, however you are asking the most basic of questions that an engine builder should already understand .
As pointed out to you it will have to be totally stripped and rebuilt by a rotax sealing agent.

Save yourself the time and money and get in touch with a sealing agent from the start.
