To start mine i always:

Have to choke, cover both holes on the airbox, and use 1/2 throttle

Always use a good battery, I use a 9amp one.

Blow the fuel though, unscrew the top of the carb then blow !! then screw it back when the fuel has reached the carb.

Have you set up the carb properly ??

Also check all the earth's , mine has 3
