It does sound 'strange' to lift the back of the kart to expel the little bubbles out of the master cylinder into the 'resevoir' but it is correct. The bleeding process removes the air bubbles from the MC to the caliper. OTK brake not my favorite brake by any means, but it's what you get with an OTK and works well when set up correctly.
