The Aixro is compared to Gearboxes because of its performance however it still a direct drive so they both live in a slightly different world - so I don't think the 2 classes are in competition. However my point is that I see a technology here available with low maintenance / great performance. Indeed up front costs can be a blocker for many people at the moment but as every new technologies coming on the market, it is expensive at the beginning but once the manufacturer has broken heaven by covering all its upfront cost (research, tests, etc...), it can offer the product at a price closer to the production costs - this can noticed with any new product coming on the market.
We are talking about the costs here which are pushing many karters to retire at the moment (especially gearboxes BTW :-(). but there is also the time factor? I see many adverts of kart ofr sale "retiring because no time". Karting is time consuming in the garage not on the track, so the Aixro could help here as well by reducing the time spent by people in their garage (it helps me a lot).
So Mr MSA, why you just don't give a chance to this engine? It would trigger more grids for the engine, more people will buy it and costs of engine should go down offering every karters great fun with less money and time spent. Am I missing something?
