I bought a senior rotax engine well over a year ago now which had mega top end power but never good bottom end! That was fine it was what it was. About September last year felt like it was getting a bit tired so had a rebuild. When it came back it had neither top or bottom end! Anyway found we had a dodgy battery and that would be it......new battery and wow kart is flying off corners but still no top engine just feels flat after 12,500 rpm and strange hesitation! When leaner. Next month no bottom or top end again, although on out lap it absolutely flys.....when warm rubbish again! Changed battery, coil, loom, carb, jetting, clutch, fuel pump, checked power valve, reeds.....anyone got any other idea? Could it be balance gears causing this?? Or piston ring??
