Has there ever been a design change to the #40 slide in the Dellorto carb for Rotax?
I ask because I have just noticed one of the slides in our spares box is different to the others in that it has a small semi-circular cut out milled on the engine side of the slide opposite to the larger radius cut out on the airbox side. It looks to have been very well machined - so is it standard Dellorto and legal / usable or someone's not-so-subtle mod and only fit for the bin?
I guess if its Ok to use, I should test it - though from the cut out position I can only imagine it leaning off the mixture at just off idle?
