I do agree with the posts regarding possible problems which may have lead to the problems, but honestly if the engine was built properly after a bottom end built then the clutch should have been checked for wear/cracks and the customer advised to make a choice.

If you ever had a engine rebuild on your car, then you would always expect the clutch to be checked for signs of wear during rebuilt and 'upsell as a retailer' where possible.

Even though the clutch is a 2 min job, this should not change the fact that the engine was rebuilt and the clutch was put back on, weather correctly or defecive.

The customer should have been notified.

At the end of the day a wood ruf key IS needed and would help sort this problem out. Why is there not one??? On 100cc engines, there is one and the sprocket has alot more force going through it being a direct drive. This sort of thing only happened back in 100cc days if 'your mate built the motor'.

Rant over!!!
