How about any kart pre-2004? As more karts will be eligible and all the karts built up until then were all done to similiar regs anyway (Centre point steering, 30mm axle etc) so the interest will be better. Other than that, a good idea. I've got a Wright Suzuka 98 kart lying in my garage!

Tyres might be a problem though as ebay ius the only way that most people will be able to get hold of any old maxxis tyres so how about an alternative which are similiar but can be bought fairly easily through a dealer (i.e. Bridgestone YDS, Kartline)?
