Basically, all mbkc are trying to do is attract a grid of 125 karts again. The only way this could be done was to get everyone some cheap, consistent tyres. The other thing as you know is that these tyres can only be used if you enter as 125 open. That being said most if not all short circuit drivers are now running to kz regs so all we are saying is if you want some cheaper racing enter as 125 open , put your £68.00 tyres on and race. Yes, everyone will go slower but if everyone is the same it really shouldn't matter. If people want to enter as kz then they can but they will be the ones using 2 sets of tyres!!
The Kartline tyres have had over 100 laps testing on the same say at 3 sisters and lap times stayed consistent. In fact many years ago I raced 3 hour endurance races with these tyres and one meeting my fastest lap was on the 176th lap at Clay Pigeon. The choice is out there for everyone to consider, as I said this option has now allowed me to compete again and hopefully with peoples support will increase the gris size which is why this has been implemented in the first place.
