The other question you might have asked was, is kerb riding legal. The answer to that is : No.

So you aren't buying kerb riders at all, you are buying chassis protectors, something entirely different, even if they look the same.

(Using the kerb is an emergency procedure to enhance safety, the kerb is a 'hard' run off area and legally not part of the track.)

Regular use of the kerb indicates that you are not in control of your kart, therefore a danger to other drivers, and liable to a range of penalties at the CoC's discretion.

It used to be that this was widely ignored, as was contact driving, but certain clubs; Dunkeswell for one; have decided to penalise contact driving. One seen bump got a warning, the second seen bump got points on the licence and no-one tested the third seen bump scenario.

I have to say, Dunks needs to be applauded for taking the stand.

Will other clubs take a stand over deliberately driving off the track?
