I've bought a new carb (12.5) for testing as I only had an 8.5. Looking at the new carb the internal finish of the carb (for the air flow) looks much smoother than my 8.5 which has a rather pitted effect (from the casting). I have also noticed that the venturi sides fit perfectly flush with the side walls of the carb on either side. Comparing this to my 8.5 it's made me notice that the venutri in my 8.5 is offset by at least 1-2mm, so it protrudes on 1 side. Surely this isn't a good thing?
How do you re-fit the venturi as I would like to re-align it correctly, if possible?

Phil
