Hi, I need some help here please. I bought a new PV blade as my old one was starting to look a little worn so bought a new blade and shaft. I re-assembled the PV with the new blade but when using it at the track my engine would top out at about 11K revs, as if the PV was not opening.
When back in the pits with the PV cover off the belows work as expected, the blade is free to move in and out of the slot so it's not sticking. Re-using the old blade again and it works fine, 14K revs.
I thought maybe the piston is slightly different for the new blade as I know the design of the piston has changed so I bought a new piston also, same thing, can't get over 11K revs. What can be wrong?
Only thing different I notice is that the shaft is not screwed in as far on the new blade compared to the old one, because I just couldn't get it in any further, but when assembled it's at 74.6mm so should be OK shouldn't it?
This one has got me puzzled.
