Hi guys I have been tinkering around with the karts today ready for our 1st track session at Rednal next weekend. Got the two lads running fine, but mine the extreme seems to bog down when slowing down to go into a bend, sometimes it will recover and roar off but then sometimes it will shudder to a stop. Also when starting (Direct Drive) it seems to take a lot of pushing unlike my sons whos just needs one good push and he is off! How can I explain better? You seem to have to keep pushing for a bit for it to pick up. Right I am completely new to all this so maybe my settings are all over the place, the following is what i have done = carb settings high 1/4 turn and low 2 1/4 turns - fuel mixture 5 litres to 300ml oil - running a NGK B9EGV spark plug - front cog 10 and rear 76, the rear was already on the kart, I was thinking of changing it to a 84/86 for Rednal. I am at a complete loose end to what could be causing this flat spot, because like I say when she goes she goes!
Please help guys.
